On behalf of the Bayside H.O.Y.A.S. we have the honor of hosting the ‘2024 Frederick Douglass “Day of Acknowledgment” celebration. This event recognizes community members and organizations for their contribution to empowering the African American community.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, from 12pm-5pm at Washington College at Decker Hall Theatre. Our organization looks forward to this celebration.

The Frederick Douglass Day of Acknowledgement Celebration is supported by individual donors, organizations, and businesses. Sponsorship contributions range from $1000 for the Commmunity Level to $10,000 for the Frederick Douglass Level. All support is acknowledged at the event, in promotional materials, and online.

The 2023 Frederick Douglass "Day of Acknowledgment” celebrated the history, culture, and achievements of African American life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Through musical and dramatic performances, educational activities, and community awards.
2022 Frederick Douglass Juneteenth Celebration “Day of Acknowledgment”
The Frederick Douglass Juneteenth “Day of Acknowledgment” Celebration celebrated the history, culture, and achievements of African American life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Held on on June 18th, 2022, the Fredrick Douglass Juneteenth “Day of Acknowledgment” Celebration served as a collective act of service and celebration of Black history, with music, theatrical performances, exhibitors and events for families.
