In celebration of the history, culture, and achievements of African American life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Chestertown’s 2023 Juneteenth celebration serves as a collective act of service and celebration of Black history.
2023 EVENT SCHEDULE
Fountain Park, Chestertown, MD 10am-6pm
All are welcome for this year’s celebration of African American life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, held on the waterfront in Chestertown, Maryland. With soul, jazz and vocal musical performances,amazing illusions from magician Anthony Ware, and delicious food and beverages from local vendors, all ages will enjoy this lively, day-long community event.

The Frederick Douglass Juneteenth “Day of Acknowledgment” Celebration celebrated the history, culture, and achievements of African American life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Held on on June 18th, 2022, the Fredrick Douglass Juneteenth “Day of Acknowledgment” Celebration served as a collective act of service and celebration of Black history, with music, theatrical performances, exhibitors and events for families.
